I’m Matthew Hickman, a BBC Introducing artist, live performer, and vocal coach. I’m passionate about helping singers unlock their true potential. My journey with music started unexpectedly in a Year 7 science class when a few friends pointed out that I could sing. From that moment, I committed myself to developing my voice, discovering my unique style, and learning how to improve every performance.

Over the years, I have performed on major stages, including the Main Stage at the Godiva Festival. I’ve also worked with well-known names like Geri Halliwell and Rob Beckett on the BBC’s All Together Now. I’ve auditioned multiple times for The Voice UK, sharpening my skills under the pressure of competitive performance settings.

In addition to singing, I’m trained in Social Media Marketing. This training helps me guide my students not only in vocal technique but also in building a confident, marketable artistic identity. My approach combines modern vocal techniques with practical industry insight. This way, each student develops a technically strong voice along with an authentic sound and stage presence that feels entirely their own.
